Industrial Bohemian Patio

Hi Nesters!
For the last month my interior designer friends and I have been a part of a special event put on by the American Society for Interior Designers that benefits the Salvation Army. We got to go to the SA warehouse and pick items to design a vignette in one of their stores. After its all done, customers can put a bid in via silent auction and it raises money for the adult rehabilitation center in Anaheim, California. We compete against three other teams. The theme we chose is called Industrial Bohemian. That sounds like an oxymoron right? That is what is so great about the space! It's a contrast of metals and bright colors! Old office equipment and beautiful ethnic patterns.
Did you know you can make just about any room look fabulous with items found at the Salvation Army? For instance, I made a chandelier from an old bike rim and fourteen mason jars. I just strung white Christmas lights inside the voilá! We are still staging the area, but here is a preliminary picture. Everything inside the pergola was made from the SA! So get out to some thrift stores and find yourself a treasure!
